The AAA of Dane County develops policies, prioritizes budgets, identifies, plans, recommends, and over-sees services among the entire aging community, including local organizations and elected representatives, public and private planners and providers of service.

The Library Interchange Network Catalog(LINKcat) is the shared online library catalog of the South Central Library System. The system gives you access to search and reserve nearly 3 million library items (books, magazines, audio materials, DVDs & video tapes, newspapers, magazines, netlibrary e-books, OverDrive e-audio books and other digital resources.

Wisconsin Association of Senior Centers

The Wisconsin Association of Senior Centers' mission is to provide directors and staff ongoing support and encourage the development of new senior centers.

Wisconsin Board on Aging and Long Term Care  
The BOALTC is an advocate for long-term care consumers in Wisconsin.  Some of its departments include the Medigap Helpline for Medicare supplement and long term care insurance questions; the Ombudsman Program, which promotes resident rights, quality of care and improvement of the delivery of long-term care services for residents in nursing homes, group homes (CBRFS) and recipients of the Community Options Program (COP).

IThe WFDA Web site provides information to help Wisconsin residents better understand funerals, the funeral planning process, and what to expect if the death of a loved one should occur.

Office for the Blind and Visually Impaired
The Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, Office for the Blind and Visually Impaired, is the government agency designated to provide assessment, training, and information to adults with vision loss, their families, and interested professionals.  

Prevent Blindness Wisconsin
A non-profit volunteer organization, whose mission is to prevent blindness and to preserve sight in Wisconsin.  The organization promotes health vision and eye safety through eye screenings, information and referral services and public and professional education.

Healthy Aging Tips on YouTube
The National Instute on Aging now has a YouTube channel.  Watch informational videos on aging, exercise success stories and Go4Life® exercises for older adults.

Aging In Stride 
A bi-monthy publication for the National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC) which provides quality content on topics of interest to older adults, families and the communities Senior Centers serve.

A nonprofit membership organization of persons 50 and older dedicated to addressing their needs and interests.

Alliance for Retired Americans
An advocacy organization committed to progressive social programs, including Social Security, Medicare and a prescription drug benefit, for retired and disabled Americans and their families.

American Cancer Society

American Diabetes Associaton
Provides information and other services to people with diabetes, their families, health professionals and the public.

Reliable, comprehensive information from federal, state, and private organizations on a range of topics. Resources for Families & Caregivers
This U.S. Department of Labor website connects the more than 50 million Americans with disabilities to valuable resources.  The site covers topics such as benefits, civil rights, community life, education, emergencey preparedeness, employment, health, housing, technology and transportation.  It also includes social media tools to encourage feedback and interaction among visitors.

National Family Caregivers Association

The National Family Caregivers Association educates, supports, empowers and speaks up for the more than 50 million Americans who care for loved ones with chronic illness or disablity of the frailities of old age. 

From Terra Nova Films, this website is dedicated to "streaming" visual educational material to family caregivers.  The videos are short, simple and direct, and are able to be accessed easily by the user at any hour of the day or night.  Many of the videos follow a documentary format that uses real people and follows real situations.

Information and support for caregivers including a "CareGuide Assessment" designed to help caregivers quickly locate the most relevant resources and information about their caring situation.

National Council on Aging (NCOA)

A national network of organizations and individuals dedicated to improving the health and independence of older persons and increasing their continuing contributions to communities, society and future generations. 

A service of the National Council on Aging (NCOA) that allows you to find out quickly and easily if you qualify for Medicare Part D's Extra Help, and how to get other benefits you are eligible for, such as those that help with heating bills, housing and rent, meals, medical costs, and other needs.

National Institute on Health -Senior Health
Reliable, up-to-date website developed by the National Institute on Aging and the National Library of Medicine. You can learn about a variety of conditions, such as diabetes, cancer, hearing loss, and stroke. 

NIHSeniorHealth has several helpful features, such as large print, easy-to-read information, and simple navigation. A "talking" function reads the text aloud, and special buttons can enlarge the words or change the contrast.

Social Security
The official website of the U.S. Social Security Administration that provides information on your Social Security records, Medicare, Disability, SSI, retirement planning, calculating your benefits and more.

ElderCare Locater
Information on finding senior services throughout the United States provided by the U.S. Administration on Aging (AoA).

American Foundation for the Blind
The American Foundation for the Blind's (AFB) website designed for seniors losing their vision, their families, and the professionals who serve them, offers photos, videos, articles, compelling stories and resource links to enhance the independence of older people beginning to experience vision loss.
